The Garzón School is seeking an experienced and highly capable School Business Manager to lead and oversee the school’s administrative and financial operations. This full-time leadership role is pivotal to the smooth running and future development of our fast-growing, bilingual, non-profit school. Reporting directly to the Heads of School and working closely with the Board of Directors, the School Business Manager will ensure operational excellence across finance, compliance, facilities, and administration — enabling our educators and learners to thrive.Key Responsibilities
Administrative Leadership
Oversee and streamline administrative procedures, ensuring clear structures and accountability
Supervise operational and administrative staff across non-academic functions
Maintain efficient record-keeping and reporting systems for all school data
Operational & Facilities Management
Coordinate all aspects of facilities management, maintenance, and safety compliance
Manage procurement, contracts, and vendor relationships
Serve as Compliance Officer, ensuring the school meets all legal and regulatory obligations
Oversee HR operations including contracts, payroll, and employee benefits
Financial Management
Lead day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Develop and maintain long-term financial projections to support strategic planning
Provide regular financial insight to the Heads of School and Board of Directors
Identify opportunities for cost savings and financial efficiencies
Strategic Planning & Project Oversight
Support the implementation of systems and policies that drive operational excellence
Attend Board meetings as required to report on administrative and financial matters
Contribute to high-level planning as the school expands and evolves
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
7–10 years of experience in senior administrative or financial roles (education setting preferred)
Strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills
Fluency in English (C1+) and Spanish
High-level proficiency in financial software and data tools
Deep commitment to detail, integrity, and collaborative leadership
