Beyond Grades. Beyond Screens.
Beyond the expected.
Education is changing fast. Faster than most schools care to admit. While the world debates whether ChatGPT should be banned or embraced, we’ve already moved on to the real question: what kind of education is still worth having? At The Garzón School, we see the rise of technologies such as generative AI not as a threat to traditional learning, but as proof that traditional learning is already out of date. If a chatbot can do the thinking for you, maybe we need to rethink the teaching and learning. We’re not interested in busywork. We’re not preparing learners to fill in blanks or passively absorb information. We’re preparing them to question, challenge, create, collaborate, and lead — because in a world overflowing with fast answers (some right, some wildly wrong), it’s our competencies that matter most. Critical thinking. Ethical judgment. Clear communication. Adaptability. These are the tools that will serve our students in a future we can’t yet predict, but that they’ll be ready to shape.
Engaged Minds. Real Purpose. Deep Learning.
We believe learning should matter to students, not just to teachers or test designers. That’s why we build our curriculum around engaged, purposeful learning, not compliance or rote repetition. When students find their spark — be it in science, storytelling, activism, or design — everything changes. They show up. They go deep. They surprise you. And, more importantly, they surprise themselves. Our projects ignite curiosity, hone critical thinking, and foster real-world connection. Whether students are designing escape rooms based on historical events or debating the ethical implications of AI, they’re not coasting through school on autopilot. They’re learning how to think, not just what to think.
Humans First. Always.
AI can do a lot. But it can’t replace the energy of a classroom buzzing with ideas. It can’t replicate the magic of face-to-face collaboration, or the quiet courage it takes to present an idea to a room full of peers. And it certainly can’t raise a hand and ask a brilliant, disruptive question. At TGS we lean into judicious use of tech where it helps, but we stay rooted in what makes us human. Relationships. Curiosity. Integrity. Agency. These form the foundation of an education that doesn’t just prepare students for the next exam, but for a future we can’t yet predict.
The Future Won’t Wait. Neither Will We.
The world our children will enter is not the one we grew up in. And we think that’s exciting; we’re not clinging to the past. We’re building something bold: an education that’s alive, responsive, and radically student-centered. We don’t promise all the answers. But we do know this: our graduates won’t just be ready for the future, they’ll help shape it.

Fall in love
with learning.
