The Garzón School strives to minimize additional costs and ensures that most extras are optional. However, the primary non-optional cost outside of the Tuition Fee is our daily meal programme, which includes a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack. These meals are freshly prepared on-site and enjoyed by our students. The cost is UYU $520 per day in 2025. Please note that this rate is subject to review, and any revised pricing will be set by our catering partners, Piña Dulce. (2nd child discount: 10%; 3rd child discount: 15%).
Our co-curricular programme offers a rich array of opportunities to enhance learning beyond the classroom. It consists of three core elements: Pathways, our signature clubs designed to foster mastery and excellence; Sports, which encourage teamwork and physical development; and W.I.L.D. (Wilderness Immersion and Leadership Development), an immersive program focused on outdoor education and leadership skills. We are committed to running W.I.L.D. run free of charge, while Pathways and Sports activities incur a small additional charge per term.

A TGS education should be accessible to the right child — not only to the family that can afford it.
As a non-profit institution, access is not an afterthought. It is part of the mission. Today, 15% of our students receive partial or full financial support. Their presence makes TGS what it is.
Changemaker Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding potential — in any field. Academic excellence qualifies. So does leadership, creativity, community service, innovation, or exceptional ability in the arts or sport. What we are looking for, above all, is a student who is ready to make a positive difference — and who would not otherwise have access to a TGS education.
These scholarships are funded by philanthropic donors who believe, as we do, that talent is not distributed according to income. They are limited in number, competitive, and awarded based on both merit and demonstrated financial need.
Needs-based financial aid is available to families who would not otherwise be able to meet the cost of a TGS education. Awards may cover partial or full tuition, and can extend to enrolment fees, materials, meals, co-curricular activities, and uniform. Support is reviewed on a two-year cycle.
We also offer bridge support for enrolled families facing unexpected financial difficulty — job loss, medical challenges, or sudden changes in circumstance. If this describes your situation, please reach out. These conversations are handled with care and full confidentiality.
All applicants — for scholarships and financial aid alike — begin with a Financial Declaration, which allows us to understand your circumstances and assess need. This is a confidential process.
Demand for support consistently exceeds what we are able to offer. We will always be honest about what is available, and we will never make a commitment we cannot keep.
Our long-term ambition is to become a needs-blind school: one where a child's place at TGS is determined by their potential, not their family's financial position. We are not there yet. But it is where we are heading.
To begin the process, apply via our standard Admissions Form. If you indicate that you are seeking partial or full financial support, our Admissions team will follow up directly with the next steps.
